LORD I’M A POOR SINNER

 

Lord I’m a poor sinner, take me as I am,

I try my best to avoid sin and be your man.

       I get up early in the morning Lord and plan to follow You,

I try my best to follow You and keep You in my view,

Temptations are many Lord and I fall apart from You,

But one thing that I’m sure of Lord is that           ‘I love You’.

During the day I come to You Lord and ask for graces few,

You grant me the graces I ask for Lord and help me be anew,

Lord You know before I speak and know me through and through,

You’ve accepted me a sinner man and hence I say   ‘I need You’.

In the evening Lord I come to You knowing that You’ve helped me all through,

You’ve helped me to be happy Lord in moments when I was blue,

During the day when I came to you Lord my spirit You did renew,

In the evening Lord I come to You to say that           ‘I thank You’

Jesus, Mary and Joseph You’re the Holy crew,

During the day I’ve tried to be like You but in know that I’ve failed all through,

I hope that the Lord will have mercy on me and take me in heaven like dew,

I’m ashamed of my own failures Lord and hence I say ‘ Sorry’ to You.
