What happens on the inside,

Has more value than,

What appears on the outside.

There can be people in the society who,

Are waiting to pound on you,

But you knowing who you are at the core of your being,

Are unaffected by what takes place.

You must be who you are,

Act according to your nature,

A lion’s nature is to kill and eat,

While that’s not true for the lamb.

Let not external situations be the driving force of your life,

Take charge, give your life direction.

Empty slate

My life is like an empty slate,

What do I write on it?

I don’t have to bother much,

God and people write and add color to it.

In ups and downs, in highs and lows,

In joys and sorrows, in happiness and pain,

I feel my life is like an empty slate,

I don’t know what to write on it,

God says, “I’ll take care, don’t despair.

God will surely write something on it,

He has so many people to be His channels,

He works in ways I don’t understand,

I feel my life is like an empty slate,

I don’t know what to write on it,
