Ordinary saint

Who is a saint?

An overman or a superman?

No, definitely not,

He’s like us, a simple man.

Is he a simple man?

Or is he blessed extraordinarily?

Not always, but he’s one who,

Does ordinary things extraordinarily.

How does he do things extraordinarily?

From where does he get the power?

This power comes from our Lord,

Who is with him even in his last hour.

How can a person become a saint?

By living a life based on love?

Surely, living life this way,

Is like doing service to the One above.

What is

It is truly funny according to me,

What actually happens in reality,

And what is explained,

Are two totally different contrasts.

               

How is it that a single event,

Is interpreted as good by one,

And bad by another,

While a third person isn’t able to gauge the situation.

This world that the Lord has made,

Is filled with His marvels and wonders.

However looking at the ‘bazaar’ of ideas,

I laugh to myself.

Misunderstanding, mismanagement, mishap,

Are all part of our daily human lives.

What we turn out to be at the end of it,

Is of grave importance.                

Look

Look at the world He has created,

Look at the creatures He has shaped,

Look at the intricate design and color of the butterfly,

Look, look and all you need to do is just look.

Look at the birds of the air,

Look at the lilies of the field,

Look; the Lord sustains them,

Look, look and all you need to do is just look.

Look up, look down,

Turn around,

Look at the wonder of you,

Look, look and all you need to do is just look.

Look at the wonder of you,

There is no other who can be you,

Open the wonderful eyes He’s given you,

Look, look and all you need to do is just look.

Life

For a man, his wife,

Is his greatest strife.

For a religious, community life,

Is his/ her strife.

Is it really so,

Not it isn’t.

Unless you think it so,

And start becoming overconfident.

God gifts you with life,

Its yours to choose.

To be happy/ sad with your wife and ,

To live right or loose.

Happiness happens by choice,

So make this life wonderful.

And in the Lord rejoice,

Coz this, His gift is so beautiful.

Mother

Mother, sweet mother of mine,

God has given you to me,

You have always ensured that I’m fine,

And have helped me God’s child be.

Mother, you are so wonderful,

And all that you do is so wonderful,

I’m so fortunate to be with you this day,

Coz you’ve always helped me to be happy and gay.

Mother I am an adolescent now,

Don’t disturb me, I know what to do.

Don’t keep on asking ‘Why’ and ‘How’,

I’m not a baby anymore to be spoon-fed all through.
